Learn to fly a plane as you take the controls of a Cessna 172 and pilot a light aircraft during this 60 Minute Discovery Flight Lesson in Morristown.

The fun of this hands-on Introductory Scenic Flight lesson begins at the Morristown Municipal Airport, located 30 minutes west of Manhattan. Here you will meet with your friendly Certified Flight Instructor and learn the basics of aviation. Your experience gift begins with 30 minutes of ground instruction during which the CFI will go over the aircraft controls and preflight safety and training information.

Once you have been fully briefed and you are cleared for take-off, the CFI will taxi the plane down the runway. After you are airborne and at the appropriate cruising altitude, you will take over the controls learning how to pilot the aircraft as you fly over Northern New Jersey. While in the Co-Pilot’s seat, you may even spot the New York City skyline in the distance!
